Town stella that has to stand out on the way to Murmansk
One of the main problems is that Monchegorsk changes still remain unnoticed by those anaware, moving to Murmansk by car, because of the depressing urban landscape, that can be observed when you go by Monchegorsk. We wanted to begin with the entrance stela and make it a place for drivers to stop and take a photo by it, so it had to be looking classy and dynamic. We've created a few variants that fully reflected the brand concepts and designed them according to the guidelines. Residents had voted for the winner and our stela became the one and only candidate for the future installment.
The bright ring of changes across the urban landscape
As some of the residents tend to notice, that is not what people think of historical massive soviet stela look like. It's more like an art object that can be observed both from the distance and from the close up. Every ring stands for one symbol of the town and one lake located in around the town.
Half of the year is polar night, but that's not a problem for a dynamic lighting that highlights the stela from the inside
